Staging a Coup Pt. 1 [Closed- Nikolai/Aster] Empty Staging a Coup Pt. 1 [Closed- Nikolai/Aster]

This is an import of a thread from the old Zetaboards site found here

In Correspondence To Nikolai Rossi Bhevik VII:

"It's been quite awhile since I've met with another ex-noble," Aster murmured.

The leader of the rebellion group was sitting alone in the hidden basement area of a humble inn. She would have called it headquarters, but she believed the group constantly gathering in one spot was suspicious and would constantly change the venue for meetings. The young woman of only twenty was propped on a stump log for a seat with a table in front of her. On its surface was a map of Eisleyn with tiny little blue and red flags forced down into it to mark territory they had surveyed and somewhat taken over, and those still in full jurisdiction of the princess' royal guard.

The Wayfarers were not unknown by the people in Eisleyn and while many were grateful (albeit hesitant to say so aloud), Aster considered them divine providence. The girl had been stripped of her title just over three years of her finally owning land of her own, and she watched both her father and mother executed for treason when they voted against the princess during the famous Bloody Banquet. Aster's own head had been sought, but after pledging allegiance through a task that still made her feel defiled and insulted, she was allowed to become a commoner.

It was easy to tell Aster was a noble by her physical features. Named after the white aster flower, her hair was a pristine white that fell down behind her back like a silk curtain. She had icy blue eyes and porcelain skin marred only by frostbite from harsh wind during her travels. She was on the small side, but she had a good build and was capable of carrying her own weight and fighting. Despite her features, Asper didn't dress like a noblelady. Instead, she donned a light blue waistcoat and hide trousers as well as boots. She tied her hair often in a bun in order to keep it from getting in the way and she always wore gloves. Her expression was always formal, serious, and dead determined.

And she was all of those, especially the last part. In fact, she was eager on making sure she was the one who got to behead the princess when the time came. But for now, she needed a plan in action; and that meant waiting for Lord Dandy to come through those inn doors.
