Moratorium [Silv/Lilac - Closed]

"Agh!" a voice squeaked as the bell flung out of the figure's hand.

It was enough to startle her to not see Claes charging at her with her cutlass.

The blade shot forth, but the cloaked mage retaliated fast enough to block it with her other bell. Or at least what used to be her bell. The silver instrument had somehow changed form and was now a gleaming silver dagger. The free hand called back the second bell in her hand and cast another glyph, this time a pure white one underneath the mage herself, before shooting her high into the air.

She would follow it with ringing her bell in a diamond motion and shooting a fireball towards the area between Goibniu and Claes.

"Look out!" Claes warned.

The fireball would blast the ground, making rock and dust fly. The cloaked figure would land before sprinting into the streets.

Jackpot... Or at least, for a brief moment. Even as the bell was discarded, the stray had another ace up her sleeve. Despite Claes' attack, the Walpurgis still had enough to fight her off, which meant Goibniu had to try again.

Preparing for a second shot, he aimed his firearm to fire at the silver dagger and disarm her. She'd still have her bell, but at least the immediate threat would be nullified. However, before he could fire, the stray launched a fireball at the officers. Even if Goibniu side stepped out of the way, the fireball hit the ground, causing small debris to pelt them both, before the stray could make a run for it.

Covering his face with his arms, Goibniu turned to see the Walpurgis try to escape them. "Come back here you fiend!" He said, as he started giving chase. If that stray mushed herself with the crowd, they'd lose sight of her, and he couldn't let that happen!

"That saumensch!" Claes muttered under her breath.

Along with Goibniu, she broke into a run in hot pursuit of the blue-cloaked figure. It ran past the shops, bumping people and pushing them away, trying to delve into the crowd.

"Stop!" Claes called out. "Everyone get out of the way!"

People would move to the sides, but the cloaked figure was up ahead. Claes stabbed her sword into the ground, causing another glyph to appear below her. Her body glowed white and she zipped forward like a silvery line of light. She charged with her cutlass pointed forward. The Cartic mage dodged. A blast of purple smoke rose into the air, causing Claes to gasp and cough. She turned behind her to McCrae as the Cartic mage rushed to the right into yet another series of alleys.

"McCrae!" she barked. "Go around! That alley ends on Bernauer Strasse! We'll block her!"

As he tried to catch up to the stray, Goibniu had a bit of trouble trying to run among the people, and keeping the Walpurgis on sight. He gasped as Claes zipped forward and tried to attack her, but again, the Walpurgis dodged it. "She must be very fast!" He thought to himself, as he saw how she created purple smoke to distract Claes.

But Goibniu was far enough to see that the stray tried to hide in another alley. "Got it!" Goibniu said, as he ran across the block to appear in the other side of the alley.

If the stray were to see ahead, she'd see his figure, covering the light ahead, his firearm visible to his right.

Soon enough, Goibniu would catch sight of the figure just a few steps away. Seeing the firearm, the woman stiffened and made a step back.

"Please, you have to let me through," she said. "I don't know what you're doing with their lot, but I need those things you're holding!"

She pointed to the cloak and broach in McCrae's hands.

And it was then when the stray spoke to him. Her voice seemed... Strangelly familiar. But Goibniu knew better than to be tricked by some Walpurgis seeking to twist his mind! "I'm afraid I cannot handle them over so easily." He said, clutching the cloak and broach tightly. "Why do you wish to recover them anyway? If you seek to give it back to it's rightful owner, then let the proper authorities handle the affair."

Goibniu didn't know if Claes had some sort of scheme under her sleeve, but whatever she had planned, he'd still try to learn what sort of business the Walpurgis had with these items.

The cloaked figure gripped her bells. She looked like she was going to say something, but she stopped herself. Her head ducked and her shoulders shook.

"If you're not going to help me...then get out of my way."

Aided by Cartic glyphs, the figure zipped forward before her bells formed into daggers. She lunged towards Goibniu while trying to slash at his arm.

"This is not helping your case, what are y-"

But before Goibniu could continue, the stray suddenly charged towards him. If it wasn't for him catching how her bells turned into daggers, he'd have thought she wanted to solve the issue with fisticuffs. Instead, he tried to dodge by going to a side, but due to being in an alley, his back hit the wall, and he wasn't able to fully avoid the hit. Instead of slashing his arm, the Walpurgis managed to slash his chest, it wasn't a serious injury, but she was able to cut through his uniform, making a long, but superficial slash.

"Nngh!" Goibniu made a grunt as the objects he was carrying threatened to fall off. Knowing that if they were down on the floor, she'd use the opportunity to recover them and escape, he held them tightly as he swung his right arm to hit the stray in the head. But he wouldn't hit her with his hand, instead, she'd receive a hit from the exposed end of his firearm's grip, which would be considerably less painful than his iron hand, but still strong enough to sting.

He hoped the hit would be enough to stun her, or at least throw her off balance, before Claes could show up and execute her plan. Where could she be?

The mage yelled and staggered backwards as she got hit. She clutched her head, dizzied and trying to hold her ground. Her left dagger turned into a bell again and tried to cast a point-blank fireball at him to keep him distracted.

The hit was successful, and now Goibniu saw that she was trying to perform another magical trick. "Oh no you won't!" He though to himself, as he used the moment to reach out and grab her by the wrist, in order to stop her casting. With his other hand, he cocked the hammer and aimed it point blank at her.

"No sudden moves, or I'll be obligated to use lethal force for threatening Officers and people nearby." He said, his voice carrying a stern tone. If only she had cooperated...
