    Name: Tala Cassare
    Gender: Female
Age: 38 albeit prefers it not be disclosed

    Race: Walpurgis
    Citizenship: N/A

    Occupation: Beast slayer

Appearance: While Tala states she's a beast slayer, she hardly looks the part. With a red double-breasted librarian vest, collared blouse, and knee-length pleated skirt, she looks more like a magic scholar that got lost and is looking for directions. The only things that would hint otherwise is the tattered red cloak clasped at her neck and a rather large bladed contraption of a weapon hanging on her back.

Most people who cross paths with Tala on the road barely get to glimpse at her face due to keeping her hood up. The only exceptions being when they get up close and try to get acquainted with her. What such individuals will come across is a heart-shaped face framed in unruly deep vriolet curls that form a feathery bob. The little of what is shown reveals half of her face is covered by large round glasses wherein the lens that reveal not her eyes but whatever its glass reflects. Her complexion is a warm tan with yellowish undertones, suggesting she hails from regions of hotter climates.

In terms of stature, she's particularly short, only reaching 5'2" with her combat boots on. She's lithe in figure. Not scrawny, but also not toned to the point that she seems to have much muscle to her. Despite her age, she's sensitive about not having a "womanly figure" mostly as she feels she's not well-endowed in the bosom area.

Her accessories are simple in nature. Her attempts at keeping her hair away from her face are two braids that pull back into a half-ponytail while the rest of her hair hangs above her shoulders. The only other accessories worth noting are the satchel strapped across her and a gold pendant with a crescent moon.

Personality: Tala tends to keep to the shadows when in areas of dense population. Despite this, she is quite sociable upon interaction. A tad ditzy and scatterbrained, she can go off tangent in discussions when something sparks her interest or be a little too eager to listen to what someone has to say. She's rather childish, easily reacting to being teased, losing her temper, or ecstatic upon reciving praise. On the flip side, she's also quite homey in disposition, always showing concern for others and suggesting people take care of themselves more. She's particularly nurturing towards individuals younger than her, often offering to escort them to their next destination or have them stay the night at her latest abode so she can serve them a hot meal.

As shallow and hare-brained as she might seem, however, certain actions suggest something more sinister underneath. There will be times she darts in different directions, as if worried someone's been following her. Other times, she'll freeze up in fear at the sound of shattering glass or the slam of a door. She'll dart into cover at the arrival of Expiate officers, and is quick to grasp the hilt of her dagger if she thinks something or someone threatening is close by.

Perhaps the oddest thing about her is her behavior in combat. When in combat, she takes on a steely and darkened expression and goes all out. Almost like clockwork, she often won't care if she's taking on damage or about to drain her energy so long as what's in front of her is defeated in the swiftest and most brutal way possible. This carelessness is particularly concerning as she'll often be beaten and bruised by the time the battle's over, only caring to heal once no opponent remains standing on the battle ground. And she'll always leave won battles with a sheepish smile.

Tala seems harmless enough, though one should be wary if she suspects them of whatever she fears of so greatly.

History: Tala claims that she's a Walpurgis looking for a living outside of the more hostile nations. While atoned and a user of Cartic magic, she states that making a living within the large cities is often hard and thus she sticks to the borders slaying beasts for a pretty penny and just hopping from place to place. Currently, she's situated in the borders of Eisleyn, far enough from the Expiate and more disapproving urban locals.

    Weapon: Dawnbreaker

    • First Form: Chain scythe-a large and curved sickle weapon with a dark pole and golden sun motif. The handle is shorter than most sickles due to being attached to a long chain that also serves as a flail with a pointed head on the other end.
    • Second Form: War scythe- Dawnbreaker's curved blade can snap backwards into a straighter blade to make for a more versatile polearm. In this form, the handle extends more and the flail becomes detachable and can serve as a secondary weapon.

    Skills:

    • Force magic (Expert): Tala is well-trained in using force magic. Instead of focusing on wide-range force spells, Tala uses Cartic marks in order to redirect her weapons where she wants them, giving anyone who does not know of her skill otherwise the impression that she's invisible or untouchable in battle. Her force magic is, however, limited to her sources and she'll only use them in occasions that need drastic weapon maneuvering.
    • Illusion magic/Mental magic(Master): Tala's main expertise is in illusory magic. Being the evasive person that she is, she has the ability to "disappear" in front of people. This does not work in the sense that she is invisible, but rather that she makes people forget who she is temporarily. She puts the memory of existence "to sleep" in her targets, giving her enough time to leave the scene and also have the person be confused as to whether or not they encountered her. This is particularly challenging though as the more she tampers with her target's mind, the more they become alert to her illusion and thus she only uses it in dire circumstances.
    • Elemental magic (Expert): Tala focuses on elemental bending magic, but rarely uses it due to the heavy energy requirements they have. This includes being able to shape the elements around her into different forms or summoning and maneuvering the elements by hand. Her main focus is earth magic, but she partially knows wind, fire, and water manipulation.
    • Healing magic (Intermediate): Tala can perform degrees of healing magic. While she is capable of tending to heavy wounds, it takes much longer than most expert healers and she requires complete concentration when doing it.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Tala's main strength is her ability to inflict heavy damage at a fast rate. This has mainly to do with her combat method and weapon of choice. This also makes her particularly good with reflexes, but this is made up with her extremely poor defensive abilities and constitution. In addition to this, Tala is less apt at fighting against humans due to a reluctance to harm them and triggers of past trauma which may make her freeze in battle, miscalculate her moves, or simply flee.

    Allusion: Sleeping beauty
    Incantus: N/A
