Julia Copperhob; jolly and nerdy Empty Julia Copperhob; jolly and nerdy

    Name: Julia Copperhob
    Gender: Female
    Age: 21

    Race: Walpurgis (sealed)
    Citizenship: Aldmerrow

Occupation: Supposedly she tends to her family’s general store. Most of the time however, Julia leaves her father at the front desk to spend her time fixing tools or tinkering with her mother's artifacts in the backroom.

Appearance: At 5’8 of height and built like a stick, Julia looks like a tree in autumn, with long and unruly reddish brown hair at the top of a tall and slanky figure. Her almond-shaped eyes have a chocolate color, and small freckles adorn her light olive skin. She favors warm colors, long skirts and shirts for a modest and approachable appearance, throwing on a sturdy cape whenever she needs to walk long distances or do some exploring.

Personality: Julia’s very friendly… perhaps a bit too much, and can overwhelm most people if she’s not kept in check. She doesn’t have what you would call good people skills and struggles in situations that require following rules of social conduct. Her enthusiasm has gotten her into many sticky situations in the past. She’s painfully aware of this problem, but by the time she realizes what she’s doing the damage is already done.
She dreams of becoming a Cartic machine and weapon researcher in Stahlmin. Though her passion is focused on the cartic seals alone, Julia knows it’s better to take the most profitable career where she can still do what she loves; choosing between being an educator like her mother or working for the army was a no-brainer.

History: A graduate from the Cartic Academy, with high notes though not exactly a genius or prodigy.
Her mother was a well-regarded professor in the Estermount College, her work focused on relics retrieved from all over Esterelf and beyond. Unfortunately, her love for these artifacts proved to be so strong it pushed her to compromise her position: it was discovered the woman had been extracting some of these objects for personal research. After being severely fined and the stolen artifacts returned, the College had her laid off unceremoniously. This incident resulted in Julia’s reputation being tarnished as well, and wasting the years of the career she was building as her mother’s assistant. With this also went the hope of getting into the college herself.
Downcast, Julia decided to work and save up in order to move out and attend another college that would accept her. To this end, she started offering her services restoring simple artifacts –both magic and regular home tools- for the townspeople and anyone who would ask for her help, without attibuting to Julia the professor's faults. This kind of common work insulted her ambitious and career-proud mother, who in her desperation seeked to sate her scientific hunger studying the nearby Tirhin ruins. The woman's explorations went without incident but also without results for a few years, and ultimately led to her end a mere year ago. Her body had to be recovered from a small temple deep in the fog, the cause of her death a mystery.
Julia and her father live on in Aldmerrow, their main source of income now being the grocers store that’s been in the Copperhob family for generations. Julia plans to change this and give her father a better life, but right now she feels trapped between pursuing her own dream or pushing it aside in order to learn what took her mother’s life.

    Weapons:
    • The Pocket Storm: A short prod that produces a jolt of electricity on contact when the wielder wills it. This is achieved through simple runes carved in the handle and shaft. This magic self-defense weapon is one of the many magic tools her mother owned legitimately.

    Skills:
    • Electric Enchantment (Expert): Her Pocket Storm is engraved with these marks, that redirect static from the air, friction or even living beings.
    • Thermal Manipulation (Intermediate): Marks to concentrate or drain heat from objects. Useful for cooking and other miscellaneous needs.
    • Kinetic Manipulation (Beginner): These marks manipulate the energy of motion and acceleration of inanimate objects. For now Julia can only use it to amplify the speed and force of no more than two pounds of mass, and only for two or three seconds.
    • Engineering (Beginner): Julia knows nothing but the very basics of how simple machines, such as clocks, work. She dreams with the chance of getting her hands on pistols and the like.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Julia has zero combat experience, but when in danger she can respond quickly to an opponent’s actions. Unfortunately, her clumsy reactions might cause Julia to hurt her allies or even herself as she's still not learned how to use her weapon properly. Her knowledge in engineering and cartic arts could prove helpful, though only in very specific situations.
