True to his surname, he has "lion-like" features such as a square jaw, squarish and tall nose, and smaller brown eyes that are close together. His hair is a golden blonde with nary a sign of gray strands and worn down in long strands in the front and tied in the back by a ponytail. He' is often seen wearing royal robes in the Saorisian colors of yellow, brown, orange, and white. Oddly enough, he rarely wears a crown. However, he does wear the Royal Seal, a golden medallion, which he drapes over his neck.
Role: The absolute monarch of the Saoirsian Kingdom. King Alexiel is a name to be reckoned with. One of the great leaders of Esterelf, he holds a large amount of power and influence not only in the affairs of the realm but of Esterelf as a whole. Alexiel, being the oldest of the leaders, respected amongst his sovereign peers. While unlikely that commoners would ever interact with him in person, he is often seen at formal events as a figurehead.
Background: Over the years, the king has received many titles: The Loyal, the Valiant, the Great, the All-Good. Beloved by his subjects, the story of King Alexiel's eventual rise to the throne is considered almost akin to that of a fairy tale or ancient legend. Alexiel was not royal or even noble by blood but became one of the great knights of then Saoirsian king, Eoin the Infallible. Alexiel was considered Eoin's most trusted knight, advisor, and practically family to the heir-less Eoin. It is said, in the War of the West, Alexiel fought alongside King Eoin against the Greater Incantus serpent Anuid and was with Eoin in his final moments. Eoin bequeathed Alexiel with the Royal Seal, naming him the new king before he died. Alexiel, considered a hero in his own right, was accepted by the people as the new king, leading to Saoirsian rule under the new House Leone.
