Hey, guys! So now that you've finished reading all the necessary stickies (you HAVE read all the stickies right? If not, please visit The Rulebook and the pinned topics in General Discussion), you can now start making your characters! Whee!

Here's the template for you, folks, as well as what to put in each section:

Name: (Must be the complete name of your character. If your character is using an alias, please provide the real name as well.)
Gender: (Male or Female only, please. Unfortunately, since takes place in an old age fantasy setting, transgenders are not possible yet. :< Hermaphrodites are sadly not here either.)
Age: (For the meantime, we are only accepting character applications from age 14 above. You can make NPC's that are much younger, however.)

Race: Please refer to this post for the list of races in Wiegenlied. However, please note that Incantus are NOT allowed for the application.
Citizenship: (Which of the five nations does your character come from or is currently residing in?)

Occupation: (There are various jobs or occupations you can give your character. Whether it's as simple as tending to an inn or if they're a student at a Carta Academy, a hunter or an Expiate Mage. The possibilities are close to endless! BUT, if you try any funny business like The Chosen One or Timelord, the application will be shot down. We do not appreciate sarcasm in places of extreme seriousness)

Appearance: (What your character looks like. Please include height and build. Unless your character is an Enkidu, they shouldn't have animal tails or ears. You can add a picture of what your character looks like, but if it's not your own creation, please add the source or credit the artist. Try to keep the picture of moderate size and if you can't, there's always the option of using the spoiler tag in order to reveal it only upon clicking.)

Personality: (How your character acts, reacts to other people, likes/dislikes, his/her good and bad traits, hobbies, etc. Try to expand it as much as possible)

History: (Your character's past leading up to the present. Please keep this in a narrative, third person form. Remember this should be a summary, so include things that greatly affected your character or factors that lead him/her to being the person they are today.)

Weapon: (Whether a custom weapon or just your average sword and shield. If it's a custom weapon with multiple forms, please include it in the description. If you have a picture, please put in a spoiler box and add a source. Remember that this is a magical setting so the highest point of technology is that in Stahlmin and the energy sources used are Lëi magic and Cantus.)

    • First Form: Form it initially appears as
    • Second Form: Alternate form
    • Third Form: Make sure it makes sense if there's a third form! Remember, this is not RWBY! Nothing can turn into a helicopter!

Skills: (This will include skills in both combat and magic. You're allowed to be creative with this area so long as it fits with the natures of combat, Cantus and Carta. It can be as specific as a Puppeteering skill or a generic as Elemental Magic. Add a description for each and place in a list. You also have to imply whether their level of skill is Novice, Beginning, Intermediate, Expert or Master. Novice means they have just started using the skill recently. Beginner implies they know the basics. Intermediate means they know the skill to a more complex degree and has at least a year of experience. Expert is someone who's had years of experience with the skill. Master is someone who knows the skill practically in and out and can even deviate with its principles.)

Strengths/Weaknesses: Based on your character's skill, build, psyche and experience, what would you consider their strengths and weaknesses in combat? Place them here. Make them reasonable and in line with your character.

Allusion: (You have the option of having your character allude to fictional one from fairy tales or other literature. Please try to avoid more modern ones, however, and check the list of characters already alluded to so not to look like a rip-off. Mad)

Incantus: (This is only applicable if your characters is a one who has a contract. Remember that not just the Walpurgis can make contracts with the Incantii, but are those who most likely will. Please note that the general appearance of an Incantus is black with yellow eyes and a unique pattern. From there you can be as creative as you want. You should place how your character came into a contract with an Incantus the History section of your application as well. If you have no Incantus, you can leave this portion as blank or N/A and erase the list below)

    • Name:
    • Apparent gender: Incantii have no genders, but they may appear to have traits dominant to one or have a mix of both.
    • Appearance: Incantii have a general trait of a black body, yellow eyes and a unique colorful pattern. They also usually come in the shape of an animal, but are not limited to them.
    • Demeanor: The personality and general behavior of your Incantus towards your character and other people.
    • Special Powers: Each Incantus has unique abilities. Most abilities are similar to Cantus ones.
    • Strengths/Weaknesses: Some Incantus are weak or strong against certain elements. Please balance this, however. Add one weakness to each strength, two to a null or absorb.
    • Mantra: The mantra is the equivalent of a human's Anima and usually comes in the form of a phrase written in runes inside them. You can write that phrase here in a foreign language, but please add the English meaning as well.

Allusion: (Since this is a fairy-tale based RPG forum, you may have your character allude to a fairy tale one. Remember that this means your character is not the person itself but has traits similar to him/her. Remember that fairy tale doesn't limit itself to the stories in Europe, but folktales from all around the world.)
