"Valen," Liseran repeated in order to remember it. She gave an affirmative nod. "Alright. I'll take note of that."
"See you, mister!" Remi said waving her hand.
The two watched him disappear before Liseran let out a big sigh. "Lady Torren is not going to like hearing about this," she murmured.
"Your nose suddenly turned violet," Remi pointed out.
Liseran's face flushed and she covered her nose. "E-eek! Um...perhaps we should get ourselves cleaned up and then leave."
Remi giggled and nodded. "Okay, miss!"

From a tree branch, a black large cat balanced itself weightlessly on a tree branch looking at the pair in the cabin. It's tail swayed left and right like a metronome.
"What an interesting turn of events," Mephis yawned as he walked along the branch effortlessly. "Liseran's always been naive, but she must be downright insane if she's thinks a little protection is going to stop me from convincing that girl from making a contract. Isn't that right, old friend?"
Mephis turned towards a tree where a small black and golden bird was perched. It made no response other than a chirp.
Mephis chuckled and stretched his body. His black wings formed behind his back and he leaped into the air.
"You can't protect children forever. We don't live in a storybook, after all."
